ABOUT ME
I was born in 1989 in Andorra, where I developed a deep affinity for mountains, nature, and conservation. In 2012, I graduated with a degree in veterinary medicine from the UAB. Shortly after, I undertook externships at the Institute of Research in Game Resources (IREC) in Ciudad Real and at the ONCFS in the French Alps, where I was introduced to research and wildlife management. I also completed a course in Wildlife Epidemiology and Disease Control at the IREC.
Following these experiences, I pursued a Master's degree in wildlife management and health at the University of Murcia. My Master's thesis focused on the epidemiology of pestivirus in wild ungulates and their relationship with livestock in Andalusia. Upon completing my Master's degree, I returned to the UAB to prepare a PhD thesis with SEFaS.
In 2019, I defended my doctoral thesis, titled "Effects of Global Change on the Diet of a Mountain Ungulate: The Pyrenean Chamois". This study was conducted through a collaboration between the Wildlife Ecology and Health Group and the French National Hunting and Wildlife Agency (ONCFS), aimed at enhancing international cooperation on issues affecting the Pyrenees.
In 2024, I completed a residency in Wildlife Population Health at WildCoM and became a European Specialist in Wildlife Population Health, certified by the European College of Zoological Medicine (ECZM) and the European Board of Veterinary Specialisation (EBVS).
